Textures from Denver Sculpter

I like to gather images of lovely textural work whether that be in art or organic forms. On one of my google searches, i came across two images from Denver Artist, Joseph Schaefer. I was happy to see some work from my home town however, he is making his website and i wasn't able to gather any info on his work or see his artist statement, but in the meantime, here are those gorgeous images of his sculptures.

I Wanna BULLETPROOF Dancer

I'm Swedish, and when Robyn became much more well known these past years by ditching the pop bullshit in the 90's and embracing the euro dance electronic dance genre of her Swedish roots, i couldn't help but praise her work. I downloaded every song she has done by herself and in collaboration with Royksopp; and when i was browsing youtube, i came across this amazing fusion video remix by Titus Jones that mixed Robyn's Dancing on my own, La Roux's Bulletproof, Taylor Swift's you belong with me AAAAANNNNNDDD Whitney Houston's I wanna dance with somebody. Love it and have been shaking my swedish ass to it. so check it out.

Outfit for party tonight.

So I'm going to my friend's boyfirend's PARTY tonight, and since i have fun picking out outfits for my imagined female ghost model chick lady thing, (which i have nicknamed just now, The INK Girl) i'd thought i'd choose another outfit from my boutique, INK for her to wear to the party.

Fashion from the GRAVE

PAPER Magazine is another one of my favorite mags and i was looking at some of thier archived editorials and came across this one entitled Franken Fashion. I was studying abroad in Italy at the time and totally missed this gorgeous shoot.
The editorial featured alot of work from the Great Alexander Mqueen, but the styling was lovely. anyway just check it out.

Air...

I always am interested in how horoscopes play into life, and recently i have been having conversations with my best friend and sister about how they really do play a strong role in how we go about our days making decisions and expressing our selves.
I am a gemini which is an air sign. and just to break it down for ya, the air signs are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius; Fire signs are Aries, Leo and Sagitarius; Water signs are Pisces, Scorpio and Cancer; and finally Earth signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn ...but lets get back to the subject.
I am a Gemini and lately i have been observing how my strongest relationships whether that be romantic or friendship, have been with earth and water types, and according to some pros these three signs make the best "astrological threesome". i agree because it relates to scientific facts such as precipitaion. So the water feeds the earth, the earth feeds up into the air and the air carries the nutrients to the sea and the sea gives the the air moisture to then feed the earth with rain... so yeah, i am going back to my Colorado hippie roots with this, but i truly feel it's true.
However, i have always been attracted to Fire signs, but this is a relationship that is only one sided. each time i have made friends or romantic relationships with this sign i've felt like i get nothing in return. I feel that this also has to do with natural elements and some science stuff, since fire feeds off of wind or air and air gets nothing in return except regret from the chaos that fire has made.
I am still really interested in horoscopes and am now really staying aware of mine. so anyway, i will try to keep some of these posts coming as this one has been pretty selfish for us Air signs, but think about it, and even do some research'n of your own.

Outfit for today.

So I'm still obsessed with my dream boutique and since i just finished my apprenticeship as a stylist at Ralph Lauren, i am still in the styling mind set.
So seeing that i must be deranged in my head, I'm pretending to style some unknown client today. The pretend/ ghost lady I'm styling, is young and edgy and is spending her day shopping and exploring Chicago. so here are some pieces from my boutique that i would put her skinny ass in.

ORGANIC rotation

Adi Zaffran Weisler, is a graduate designer of the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem. His Furniture designs are constructed using the industrial process of rotational molding, however, he infuses organic wood/ matter into his designs allowing them to cross into realms of either the natural, or the man-made.

Get me to the Masked Ball.

So, of course this happened in Octobre, but i am currently entirely interested in masks/ head structures/ face obstructions so i looked at Paris Vogue's 90th anniversary ball which was themed with masks and was a bit disappointed with some of them but adored a few that came on out so here are my own personal lists of Hit and Misses.

MISSES :(
Really? a ninja turtle mask?

The phantom of Jersey Shore.

This just screams "I'm a Douchebag"

I love the Hair, but wear yo mask at gurl?
HITS :)

ADORE!!!

Simple but lovely

Gareth Pugh rockin them amazing Prints for his Spring 2011 collection
Although Dita deserves a mask much more worthy of this undermined stick mask, she still scores high points for her grace and poise, plus she dresses up all the time, she deserves some time to just enjoy the party.

ON THE FENCE :/ ???
oi...
L.O.V.E. the mask, but... the hair and dress are not helping it shine at'tall.

My Dream Closet/ Boutique

So i was reading one of my favorite blogs yesterday and came across this little link that said "create your own boutique that expresses your personal style" so i clicked it and have been oober obsessed with what i have made.
So far, my personal style from just setting up my store has been determined as Edgy, and Romantic. I agree, but the best part of this is that i can collect designer items and then save the ones i adore to my favorites. there then is the option to buy them, but lets face it, it's better to just pretend when your a 22 year old art student. there are some pretty nice affordable things on here too. So check out my Boutique and make one of your own if you like and i will follow u if you follow muah. <3
Here are some of my favorite items from my Boutique. Jesus, i wish i owned these bitches... and had the ability to change into a woman every now and then to wear them, but oh well.
Here is my Storfront.
